History of the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site Dr. Sheldon Johnson is your typical 81 year old retired Optometrist/ creative ex-school board member of 42 years /inventor/ devoted family man/ church and civic leader/ volunteer/ entrepreneur/ farmer who enjoys helping others. He loves going to the farm, working with large equipment each day--coming home covered with dirt and grease. What a life! With this kind of a sharing/giving attitude, turning over a rock can become a new life-changing adventure. He loves challenges, and helping make things better. His wife, LaVerna, just tries to keep up with him, relishing new educational opportunities now available thanks to shared vision for the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm. A busy grandmother, artist, author, retired educator, she feels her life has been blessed by opportunities to work with such amazing people who are also dedicated to helping others discover the excitement and adventure of learning.
